Jasmine I. Kendrick, LLMSW, CGP Founder

Jasmine Kendrick has always had a penchant for helping others. In her earliest beginnings, she decided that no matter where her career goals took her, she would return to her roots and help children like her.

Jasmine’s affliction would provide her with the determination to bring Roses for Missy into reality. Following the death of her mother, Missy, Jasmine felt she was left to her own devices and at times, navigating her grief on her own. As she grew into learning exactly what grief was, and how its devasting impacts could wreak havoc on a child's development, Jasmine's dedication led her to social work and philanthropy, gaining insight into how to provide children who grieve with clinical and emotional support. Roses for Missy serves as not only a legacy to Jasmine's mother but as a movement to create a grief-conscious community and help children in the city of Detroit who are dealing with grief.
